There is no oops in the logs you've showed us, just a warning about a
possible bug in some kernel code (which is unrelated to MadWifi, afaict).
You've mentioned that the machine that is running as AP is crashing after
some time - the oops message of this crash is the interesting part, please
try to provide a dump of that oops.
The article is misleading regarding the use of {{{iwconfig ath0 mode
master}}}. This won't work with MadWifi, and the article correctly
mentions the command to destroy a STA VAP for recreating the VAP for AP
mode. However, it then reads as if {{{iwconfig ath0 mode master}}} is
needed to be called after the AP VAP has been created, which is wrong.
