Hi Scott,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your understanding.

We tried our best to bring Mailplane 3 at least at par with Mailplane 2 but
we know that it's impossible to please everyone and we try hard to keep
Mailplane 2 around as long as possible because we definitively don't want
to push anyone into upgrading to Mailplane 3.

But on the other hand we can't give a guarantee that Mailplane 2 will stay
around forever. It's already 8 years old and as you already mentioned, we
heavily depend on Google and Apple which both are companies improving their
products at a breakneck pace.

We expect to have an update available soon, which will at least allow you
to sign in in Mailplane 2 again. Write us directly to
[email protected] if you're interested in a preview version.

Best regards,
Lars
