Hello Alex, > Far be it for me to declare that I have the *ideal* grid maker, but > years ago we developed a very simple MBX that does the following: Sounds good. Why not send it to Bill for inclusion on his web site? No matter how sophisticated the range of grid makers are, they are all table /builders/. Try making a 1 degree grid of the world and see how big the files are! To me, it just seems rather ridiculous that something which can easily be calculated on the fly during a map redraw has to be implemented as a data set of line/rectangle/regions, etc. Regards, Warren Vick Europa Technologies Ltd, U.K. http://www.europa-tech.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MAPINFO-L" in the message body, or contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
