Part of my leftism, and hopefully making it more informed and effective, is
keeping up with major and minor media outlets on the Right, and accts. on X
of rightist activists with major numbers of followers, augmented with
keeping track of rightist activists on X, with smaller general followings
but, with the largest number in that general pool, who represent and are
hyper-active in the smaller but, very influential in one or more
ideologically and politically sector of the Right, the extremists who skirt
into and out of neo-fascist/white nationalist scenes and networks, or are
fully radicalized far right activists. Anyway…as part of keeping up with
the Right, I pay heightened attn. to accounts on X, which focus on
monitoring the broad Left esp. the DSA, (Stu Smith of the Manhattan
Institute, for example, and right-wing Zionist accounts which monitor and
go after activist leftists in anti-Zionist organizations such as Within Our
Lifetime, which to no surprise of mine, was an endorser of the NYC City
Hall rally where Mayor Mamdani was heckled mercilessly, where as this
article in National Review that dropped today on their website, which y’all
should not only read, but, click all the underlined hyperlinks.

As one born in ‘61, and whose late Dad served in the USAF from ‘56-‘62, who
worked in military contracting as a technical writer, at a few smaller and
one behemoth sized MIC firm till his retirement in the late 90’s, I got my
share of pro-Vietnam War views from my staunchly anti-communist Dad, from
my working class neighbors and many others in the 60’s and 70’s. My Mom and
I went to the anti-war MOBE’s in Washington, D.C. My Mom gave $ to the
Camden 7 Legal Defense Fund. I was enraptured with the NLF aka “Viet Cong,”
by the time I was 9 in ‘70. So, in those MOBE’s I would have split with my
anti-war liberal feminist Mom, esp. upon seeing and photographing with my
Dad’s Nikkormat, on the day of the MOBE when a hippie was waving the flag
of the NLF from the steps of the US Capitol, only 20 feet away or so, from
my Mom and I. “Ho, Ho, Ho Chi Minh! NLF is gonna win!,” chants were
entirely within my frame of reference by then, and I have no regrets about
having been a very young boy, who wasn’t even 14, yet when Liberation came
on April 30th, 1975. The Right Side Won the Vietnam War. It is another
kettle of fish however when considering that slogans effectivness or today,
the sloganizing antics of the hyper-radicalized anti-Zionist activist
cadres in groups such as Within Our Lifetime in NYC. My positioning on the
Question of the Zionist Entity is not fully consistent, anti-Zionists to my
Left can and do say. Not inclined to support Hamas or, the broader Islamist
currents, but, agreeing that it isn’t in our lane, as American secular
leftists, to kvetch about the choices made by a desperate and brutalized
beyond belief and comprehension people fighting for their Liberation from
an Objectively Fascist and Genocidal Regime, which has the support of
millions of Israelis and all these Zionists here in Encino, Reseda, Tarzana
(my larger ‘hood, now) and in West LA, who heckle us and have physically
assaulted pro-Palestine marchers/demonstrators esp. when we chant in front
of the Israeli Consulate. And don’t get me going about the huge numbers of
Iranian-Americans in the San Fernando Valley and who live in Irangeles near
UCLA and the Federal Blvd. in Westwood. Their rallies are absolutely huge,
full of banners and placards supporting the reinstallation of the Shah’s
system in the person of Reza Pahlavi.

Composed at a McDonald’s close to a former residence, which instead of the
delish Red Bull Dragonberry drink, they gave me their classic fries. The
Spicy McCrispy is hella’ weak. My bill came to $9.99!

I will send the National Review article with all the anti-Zionist chants
from WOL, Fight Back! FRSO, YDSA, etc. in a reply. Typing on an iPHONE,
when I should have just been typing on the easier keyboard of my MacBook
Air, which cost me just a smidgeon below $1900. I almost typed $18K! LOL.😆
jajajajajajajaja!!! That would have been my 3rd or 4th senior moment today
in this beastly heat wave. Stay hydrated! I was hospitalized overnight at
Northridge Dignity due to being dehydrated. Threw up 3 times. Acute Kidney
Infection.
