For those interested in hi HP L series engines, you need to get in touch
with Les Collins, the original owner of Datrally Developments.  Les still
builds top HP L series engines, some of which go to Japanese enthusiasts.
$12000 for a bullet proof  reliable, "legal" L18 block, putting out a
genuine 215HP using 48mm webers. However the engine capacity isn't under 2
litres.  One of these engines is running in a 1600 rally car running in
Victorian events.
Speed costs money.  How fast do you want to go?
