With the L18/U67 along the lines I wrote about before and done right with a
Volvo 264 CD you get 150-200hp at the wheels pretty easily, water injection
and 15-18 psi with an intercooler your looking at anything up to 250-280hp
and 13's to low 14's (Soobie country), over that 18 psi and you're into
expensive and serious mods like grenade country.

Speaking of water injection, the last L turbo I saw in a 200B Wagon (what is
it with these) had a home grown setup using a Ford EB radiator overflow
bottle (lots of little bubbles) and it was pressurised by the turbo via a
one way valve but he was having trouble turning it on as he had a switch on
the dash but he wanted it on to fire above 10-12 psi, that's easy says I,
use a hobs switch in the wastgate line to trigger a relay to open the
solenoid and it's done automatically, just set the hobs switch up and forget
it. The Ford water bottle is a cute one too as it even has a low water level
switch built in.

A Hobs switch is used for a variety of pressure related tasks most of which
are nothing to do with turbos but they are trick for overboost Ign or fuel
cuts, and the beauty of these switches is that they are pressure adjustable.
They are so simple, at a set pressure the contacts either open circuit or
you can also get a close circuit type as well.
