I knew it was looking too good. The dump pipe off the Gazelle turbo fouls
the steering idler badly. I cannot mount the FJ so that I can fit the dump
pipe at all If the engine went back another 25mm it would go on but the
cylinder head is only about 5mm from the bulkhead now, so no way. Anybody
used the Gazelle RS-X motor in their 510? What did you do? Maybe there is a
different dump or turbo I can use or something.What about making a spacer
plate between the housing and dump (don't fancy that much) I figure
altering the cast dump isn't a good idea because the welds would crack with
the heat, right? Damn! It's so close but not close enough!
Any help would be greatly apreciated. I can take some pictures of it if need
be.
