Andrew,

Going on what you have said a skyline manifold with longer runners produce
more torque at lower revs than a short runners. 

So does that mean turbo lag is reduced with the skyline manifold compared to
gazzelle short manifold?

Shorter inlet runners produce horsepower higher on the rev scale.Paul
Staneks fj20 1200 coupe has a manufacuted manifold that uses very short
runners with a large plennum.
