Damien,
Depends I think, the block is only 20mm taller, so it may or may not have
enough leeway to fit. When I pulled the stock exhaust in my wagon apart
there was tons of clearance to the firewall to lift the manifold up a bit,
so it might depend on car to car perhaps?
I have to agree with Justin though, get extractors :)
