Just as a thought, I know reg's are pretty tough over the ditch, but on my
first 510 (I was living and working in a wreckers yard so parts were
everywhere) when I got it some w--ker had tried to fit a ford 2 litre in it
so not much under the bonnet was any good, I fitted a 610 180b engine X
member, it moved the motor back about 2 inches (only just fitted the
throttle linkage behind the head with a slight bend), a bit of work was
required with exhaust and g box x member etc but any amount you can get the
motor backwards is good for car balance, it was a L18 though.
