Title: RE: FJ20 - max power

Zac,
Which part are you saying was the misprint?  The FJ40DET or the fact that it was developed for F1 and rally.

*groan* I've heard that urban myth a few times. Stupid fast fours misprint will
    haunt the FJ forever.

    > the story i have heard is that the fj was originaly an fj40det designed for
    use in formula
one back in the days of turbos. but when turbos were banned they reduced the
    capacity and
detuned them and started to mass produce them

    nissan made,
but due the number of moving parts they were more costly so they moved to the
    SR20.  The
FJ's are twin cam 16 valve and were originally a racing/rally motor and I think
    were the
    toughest motor Nissan ever made.
