Yes leave the crank case breather on. it i necessary, the only way to remove it is to fit a oil catch can. If i still had my twin webers i'd still be driving them aswell! who needs a stereo when you've got twin webers! It is not nescessary to hook up the fuel return on the webers. Webers require a large volumn of fuel but not a high pressure. Too much pressure will over come the seats and flood the carbies. Webers will start very well with out the chokes. I would leave them on there but not connect them up. I always gave it two pumps on the accelerator and it would fire every time. You may just need to keep you foot on the gas for about a minute till the cylinders get a bit of warmth in them. after that it'll idle fine. Enjoy the webers, there isnt a better carby on earth!
