Peter,
Would
you believe that the stock front spring on a 1600 is 80lbs and the rear is
300lbs, both have ~7" travel and load each corner around 550lbs. Most heavy duty
springs offered are 5" travel and ~150lbs - 175lbs for front and 550lbs - 700lbs
rear and load each corner around 800lbs. You need around 200lbs x 4" to lift
front wheels on a 1600 and combined with 800lbs rears you'll get a corner load
of ~1000lbs, Nismo Euro springs were in this area, they made a variety of 4" -
8" or so travel for various forms of motor sport.
The
fulcrum ratio on the rear suspension on a 1600 is approximately 3.8 so Dan meant
to say his rears were around 650lbs.
The
stock SSS spring was 100lbs x 6" travel front and 400lbs x 6" travel on the
rear.
regards
Terry
(baffle them with numbers)
