L-series Datsuns are a bit slow and noisy on the road these days, but get them on the 
dirt where the engine can spin up easily and yee-hah it sounds good, better than 
probably anything else, definitely better than any other four or six cylinder that I 
have heard!
If you get a bigger cam the engine note gets even deeper and tougher!

You should have ram pipes and also a 'heat shield'. Put in inverted commas because the 
main thing it does is stop fuel dripping on the exhaust!
It does make a samll performance difference though.
