You're lucky. There's more to it though - things like wiring, CR and head
design, dizzy settings all seem to contribute but stick the same engine into
another car that's a slightly different model and it wont run on.

I have had no trouble with run on!
If you make sure that the float level is right and that the needles and
seats are clean and concentric, and that the idle is set right, it should
die when you tell it to!
