This is a really strange story but very true and somehow pertinent to this discussion of the power of the subconscious.
I once hired a guitar player to play at the front door of one of the retail souvenir shops that I managed in Texas. The player, although highly talented, had a very heavy polish name. I was making up a sign to place on an easel and was trying to think up a pseudonym appropriate for the Texas genre. I was concentrating very hard groping for ideas when I started thinking about Barb Wire and then suddenly I thought "That's it Bob Wire". So I made up the sign put it out front. In about ten minutes a man approached the guitar player and asked if he was really Bob Wire, the player informed him that I just made up the name. We asked him why and he said that he was "Bob Wire", really. Upon noticing the doubt on my face immediately pulled out his drivers license which revealed he was Robert Wire. I didn't know what to think but the experience left me quite perplexed as to how it all came about. Was it pure coincidence? Did I pick up the energy of Mr. Wire walking about the mall?
