So would a lot of people. It's how I learned of Boys Town and why I was sent there by my aunt. The whole family, being to a large part Irish, were regular contributors to Boys Town. What is interesting is that after my aunt shipped me off to BT, she stopped contributing and pleaded poverty whenever Boys Town would ask her for money to help with my support. Boys Town has had it's share of scandals, including a few regarding their use of contributions. Sometime in the sixties or seventies, they were nailed to the wall media-wise for using contributions to equip the priests and counselors with expensive cars and twice a year world cruises and that doesn't even count the "retreats" many of the priests took at renowned resorts around the globe. We also had nuns at Boys Town but we seldom saw them because they were the personal servants of the priests. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups ""Minds Eye"" group.
