To be detached means to be equal-minded in all conditions , including death or worse of dear ones , to be serene even when losing all that you own with not a penny left , the worst of insecurity , it is so easy to talk but for a person who loves dear ones who is used to luxury ,to face it all with serenity is in my opinion either madness or just hypothetical thinking. No Allan you have to be emotionally mad to be completely indifferent to major calamities.
