Configurable would at least turn fist-pounding arguments over
the table into unhappy grumbling, slouched in our chairs :-)

I agree -- it's too much function overload for a single,
heavily-used control. Overload isn't so bad for less-used stuff.

But it's a constraint of the control surfaces (I assume, since
the keyboard has lots of chiclets). It's tough.
