Still possible,. I suppose. I have found out that Primus has changed
its nameserver IP numbers from what it was using a month ago. But the
new ones don't seem to work any better than the old ones. I suspect
it's some connectivity problem within their network. Or something I'm
doing wrong that has only caused trouble now.

I used
  dig @8.8.8.8 www.google.com
and
  dig @8.8.4.4 www.google.com
to query the google nameserver. Once it worked. Most of the time it
times out.

That's the next thing to try. I went to the coffee shop and downleadad
several Debian stable AMD-64 .debs onto my laptop. Unfortunately I
left one out. I still need dnscache-run (for AMD64, Debian stable).
Could someone email it to me, maybe as an attachment? Email still seems
to get through. But then it keeps retrying for days until there's a
window of opportunity.

I've definitely decided to change ISPs. Anyone have a phone number for
teksavvy? Or another better one?
