A dsl.  Originally from dsl.ca, which was quite decent, but has 
degenerated to Primus after three corporate takeovers.

They do stay open.  Streaming video keeps right on streaming while a 
browser cannot reach sites with http:.

My router is an Pentium computer running Debian stable.  It's also my 
email server, and keeps on receiving and sending email, though I suspect 
it only goes through in batches whenever net service happens to work for 
a while.
