Hum, I installed Fedora 10, 11, then 12 on my Aspire One and then my Acer Aspire Timeline X with no major problems, it discovered everything and worked like a charm.. Then I upgraded to 13 .. "*&/?$ Hell on Wheels! I had to try 4 or 5 times to get it to just install .. I've been doing Linux since RH 5.1 .. and I struggled like heck .. so yeah, Fedora is usually good, but not always!
Ubuntu, I ran 9.x for 4 months and then got rid of it, great for someone who is not technical moving over from Windows, I installed it on my ex-girlfriend's Aspire One, but no good for an experienced Linux person .. Just my 2c worth, feel free to disagree!
