Many sellers do not make a profit on the items they sell so they overcharge on shipping. I see a lot of this with paperback and used hardcover books, some movie posters, used machinery and furniture, clothing and DVDs.
I feel it's criminally insane to charge a fee on postage. Might result in the seller charging an even higher shipping fee. Happens with the phone and cable companies.
