eBay is just using this as an excuse to charge more.

They *SHOULD *be looking at ways to increase their sellers' sales, so that
as the sellers make more they make more, but instead they only know how to
keep raising rates and fees, so they keep getting a higher percentage of
each sale, and the seller makes less.

But the Catch 22 of this is that with each new price increase some more
sellers leave, so their overall take remains around the same, so they have
to start all over again and find some new way to raise rates (always with
some explanation that it is good for sellers!), and then more sellers leave,
and the cycle keeps repeating. If this goes to its logical end, then they
will eventually take 100% of the selling price, but they will only have one
seller left!

At eMoviePoster.com we haven't raised our fees in years, and we do all the
work. It is little wonder we have over 710 consignors, including many of the
most prominently dealers in the hobby (but we never disclose who our
consignors are unless they do so themselves). Gather together any 10 dealers
and I guarantee you a sizable percentage of them consign to us!
