I called E-Bay and voiced my opposition to a represenative. With limits already in place on DVDs, Books and other items, adding the cost of shipping to the final value fees, will certainly not achieve their stated goal of encouraging more sellers to lower shipping fees or offer free shipping, it will have the opposite effect.
I will pass on the the new fee increases to the customer in the form of higher shipping fees where possible, increased opening bids and as a premium to fixed price listings. I see a lot of this with paperback and used hardcover books, some movie posters, used machinery and furniture, clothing and DVDs. I feel it's criminally insane to charge a fee on postage.
