Henry,

One thing to consider, even tho it may be a bit remote, it that the package you sent was delivered but casually left in plain view on a front step. It certainly is easy for these kinds of packages to be carried off, in the middle of the day, when no one is home from work.

"Signature required" for items like this is the way to protect yourself and the buyer, too.

Good luck in whatever the resolve is.

I recently sold a moderately expensive poster on Ebay ($150). I shipped priority mail the next day. About a week later the buyer stated he hadn't received the poster and asked for a tracking number. I checked the USPS tracking information, which stated the poster had been delivered. I also confirmed that I had sent to the right address.

When I offered the buyer replacement merchandise or a partial refund, he immediately threatened an EBay/paypal dispute and associated negative feedback.

I basically punted at that point -- but am following up with the local post office to investigate what happened with the shipment.

Any similar experiences?

Thanks, Henry
