If you lived in the inner cities of Baltimore, Detroit, Philadelphia, or other cities with large black populations you wouldn't be so glib in your attitude towards crime. As Walter E. Williams, a professor at George Mason University, cites: "Bureau of Justice statistics for 1976-2005 indicate blacks, while 13 percent of the population, committed more that 52 percent of U.S. homicides and were 46 percent of the homicide victims. Ninety-for percent of black homicide victims were murdered by another black." The cause? According to Professor Williams: "The high victimization rate of the overwhelmingly law-abiding black community is mostly the result of predators not having to pay enough for their behavior. They benefit from all kinds of asinine excuses such as poverty, racial discrimination and few employment opportunities." Government has failed in its duty to protect the social patterns of the black community against biological crimes. "The destructive sympathy by intellectuals toward lawlessness in the sixties and since is derived, no doubt, from what is preceived to the common enemy, the social system.
