I didn't claim that philosophy is an inevitable result of having money, if that's what you mean by "ipso facto." Lots of people make a lot of money but could hardly be termed philosophers. But, money being a part of the social pattern as you agree, is necessary for intellect to achieve a level of its own which includes philosophy. > [Platt] > But you ducked my question about capitalism and the quality of intellect. > > [Arlo] > I'm sorry, are you saying the two are related? No. They were straw men raised in your previous post. > [Platt] > Note the bitterness, folks. Must of struck a nerve. :-) > > [Arlo] > Oh, you strike nerves, all right. Yes, the truth sometimes arouses ire. Otherwise, why the constant character assassination instead of presenting evidence for your positions? ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ Moq_Discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
