[Platt]
Can you name a significant philosopher who lived in strict barter society?

[Arlo]
This is an inane question. First, that money is a fairly ubiquitous part of
most historical social systems, does NOT indicate that it was the presence of
"money" that enabled philosophers to think. Second, we can historically name
maybe around 100 or so "philosophers", but I doubt only a hundred or so in
world history have ever though philosophically. I can't name a philosopher from
British Columbia, for example, but I am sure folks in BC think philosophically.

[Platt]
Again, can you name a significant philosopher who lived in a strict barter
society? In other words, what EVIDENCE can you present?

[Arlo]
I can't name "anyone" from a strict barter society, but what does that have to
do with anything? Why don't you name me a barter society where you felt no
intellectual patterns were present?

[Platt]
I've been there a jillion times too after you initiate insults which, for
some reason (I think I know why) you expect me to ignore.

[Arlo]
Now that's just boo-hoo baiting. Anyone who has the desire to check the
archives can easily see that it is always _you_ who instigates with deceitful
and distortive attacks, usually centered around the "libs lie" theme. Then,
when you are called on this, or responded to in same, you play the poor victim
of "lib" assaults. What you seem to expect is for others to ignore your
atrocious and despicable rhetoric. I'm done with that, and call it for what it
is. You want to play "boo hoo, poor me", cry about how "leftists and libs"
assault poor Platt at every turn, go right ahead.
