Hi Platt, I'm not sure what to think about competition. Ms. Aumpora's comment's were very interesting. I recently read Josh Waitzkin's book, 'The Art of Learning', and the intensity of his competiveness shocked me. Personally, whatever the "issues", they are too internalized within to verbalize. Many points in this interview were thought provoking. I fell in love with Nietzsche from my first exposure to his writings. I think there is much in common between Pirsig and Nietzsche. Foremost, they both promote the search for excellence. I hope you didn't miss the point in the paragraph I highlighted. Thanks for you thoughtful consideration.
