[Platt]
Well, why don't you look back through history and provide some evidence? Money
economies have been around since man left the caves.

[Arlo had said]
Now, _social patterns_ in the larger sense, I'd agree, _are_ a prerequisite for
the emergence of intellectual patterns. But "capitalism" is only one of many
possible social patterns, which has nothing to do with the quality of intellect
that follows.

[Platt]
Where do you see the word "capitalism" in my statement? And where did you get
the idea that philosophy automatically says anything about the "quality of
intellect?"

[Arlo]
You are attempting to conflate two things that are unrelated. As you can see
above, I specifically state that "social patterns" are indeed a prerequisite to
"intellectual patterns" (that basic MOQ). But "money" is only one feature of
social patterns. Saying "money" is a prerequisite to intellect is like saying
"roads" or "family" is a prerequisite to intellect. They are certainly often
_part_ of the prerequisite, but any individual variance is not itself what's
responsible. Unless you want to rewrite the MOQ to be
"inorganic-biological-money-intellectual".

[Platt]
to denigrate Platt because his ideas are considered dangerous to the left's
agenda. Bore, bore, bore.

[Arlo]
Boy, you nailed it. Your ideas are so dangerous to my agenda, my anti-freedom,
aid the terrorists, want American soldiers to die agenda. Why were it not for
noble, honest, freedom-loving conservatives like yourself, we would have
already enslaved the world. Damn you!
