i think it's about the nature of intellect itself:
what it is to think.

to think is to manipulate a virtual space - an
analogue reality. there is a necessary division here
between the virtual space and your awareness of it:
the intellect removes you from the world and let's you
play (god) with it.

this space, according to jaynes, evolved through the
growing use of abstract language. the space itself is
a metaphor composed of metaphors.

whether we call the virtual space: 'objects', or the
thinking individual 'a subject', doesn't really
matter. this is the nature of thought, not reality.
reality is not about subjects and objects, just as it
is not about dynamic/static. reality is one.

i am not interested in how we use the knife but in how
we are able to pick it up in the first place. if you
see my meaning...
