India has many histories. Caste from the Aryans in which they introduced Brahma. Hindu has many histories and overlapping patterns. I'm not getting into what you and Marsha are specifically talking about, that's for you and Marsha. I'm pointing out that Hinduism has roots in a India where nondualism and oneness is discussed, this is old India, where yogi's come from, and it is thought of as primitive India, then Brahmanism came along, somewhere from the north and this culture, maybe Aryan, introduced caste and the Brahma structure, but in eastern India even this structure slowed and the ancient India survived. Buddhism comes from this eastern region of India, often identified as where the forest wanders lived and the ancient ways of India that date back into a deep time where history is vague and even archaeology only provides few glimpses. I'm not a historian, so I have few details to offer. Anyways...
