Arlo --
So is no one gonna cowboy-up and tell me why I should feel
that "our population is becoming Hispanic"? Is no one, not even
Ham who made this fear-threat, gonna answer me as to how my
individual liberty and lorious proprietary self is threatened by this?
It never ceases to amaze me how you can take comments out of context and
twist them around to ludicrous conclusions with apparent immunity. Frankly,
I didn't think your hysterics about my stand on multiculturalism merited a
response. I made this statement to Platt who on 7/20 claimed that my views
on social morality fit what "is known officially in academic circles as
'multiculturalism'."
I said nothing about hatred for Blacks or Hispanics, nor did I raise a "fear
threat" about mixed populations or call immigrants "enemies" or
"terrorists". What I said was . . .
When a society accommodates itself to the moral values of a foreign
culture,
such as Western Europe trying to assimilate a growing Islamic population,
it doesn't become "amoral"; it simply beomes more liberal. That is, its
morality
is expanded to embrace two moral systems. This weakens the sovereign
culture of the adopter nation, creating law enforcement problems and
social
unrest, which is why--and I'm surprised you don't know this--I am opposed
to
multiculturalism.
That our population is rapidly becoming Hispanic is a matter of fact, not
hypocrisy or
homophobic thinking. According to the U.S. Census, the nation's Hispanic
population has reached 15.1 percent of the estimated total U.S. population
of 301.6 million. Hispanics remain the largest and fastest-growing minority
group.
This poses problems for the values that are indigenous to American culture.
It affects our language, for one thing. Already we see traffic signs,
telephone books, and instruction manuals printed in two languages. And,
because we've been negligent in defending our borders, illegal immigrants
are demanding -- and getting -- citizen benefits they have no right to
expect. In California a serial murderer is sueing the government for a
prison sentence, although his illegal status doesn't even grant him the
right to a U.S.trial. Why do we bend the law to favor non-citizens?
Because Multiculturalism is touted as the "new morality" of America.
Yes, I do believe this ideology is damaging our historical heritage, And,
because I am a moral relativist who believes that every culture determines
its own moral standards, I don't want to see my children and future
generations of our proud nation having to speak a foreign language,
attending daily prayer rituals, wearing veils, or spending their hard-won
earnings to support those who demand that WE change our laws, yet haven't
respected our sovereignty enough to come here legally.
It may not be "the end of liberty and the enslavement of mankind", but is
will surely "lead to
the destruction of America" as we know it.
Okay, now you can return to your diatribe.
