Not sure.  Hmmm, we could start with food and
do a Metaphysics of Quality Food analysis, and
describe how Crawdad Etouffee is a higher
evolutionary stage than the Beav's local
all-you-can-eat popcorn shrimp.

Seriously, though, any depth of analysis is
too big a job in an intimate multi-culture 
analysis.  Most of us barely have ken of one
culture let alone two, and three is damned unusual
in depth.  

One sense I have, reading what came 
before is the tension between the interactivity of
cultures in a person-by-person 'organic' way and 
the "cultural supremacy-exclusivist" point of view,
which I think is more myth than reality.

Put another way, I am not sure some of the 
responses are even pointing at the same 
thing as the original posts...it feels a bit
cognitively disonant.

(I prefer the Etouffee...)
