MP: "Making knowledge mechanical."  I like that. I need to read back on this 
thread to respond in context, but that simple statement has me thinking that if 
there is a distinction between skepticism and faith it is that the former seeks 
to 
"mechanize" things which the latter allows to remain in contrast as "ethereal" 
as 
they are in the raw experience.
