Are you actually saying here you think there are patterns that are NOT responses to Quality??? Maybe you should actually sit down and read Pirsig's books. You are implying there are patterns (or the "first pattern") that is NOT a response to DQ. I get why the theist in you can't quite understand this, and why the reductionist is blind to it, but keep trying. There are NO patterns that are not responses to DQ.
