Ron to Andre: Mary was asking what does the intellectual level value. Courage is a fairly good answer for the reasons Aristotle mentioned. Most Primarily, the intellectual level values the social level. That objectivism does not, highlights the problem of Bo's SOL.
Andre: Thank you Ron, this is the point I have been trying to make as well. As Pirsig says, the children should not shoot their parents. I was really getting concerned with Bodvar's SOL and his defence of it that it would lead to a dictatorship of the intellect over social level values (and the rest). A bit like shoving the socialist/capitalist/christian ideologies down people's throats because, from a SOM point of view these are the 'escape' routes to the good from within its own premises. Thank goodness for the MOQ/Arete/Quality/Emptiness perspective from which to analyse and judge the high and low quality of each of these and combining them to clear away new paths to thread. Or even better, to simply clear the land (of truth) of any path.
