Yea, I find the whole thing interesting, and certainly points to some
kind of perennial thing.

Well, John, here is where the power of the imagination through the
extrapolation of analogies comes in. If you understand the idea that
words are only representative, and not real entities in themselves
(usually), then it is not a big step to bring in the same assumption
for objects representing Quality. Do you know how many people thing
that words are as real as it gets? Viewing objects as representations
is a quick way to get to Quality. In this day and age, such a thing
could be called the enlightened mind, and it doesn't take the fear of
suffering to accomplish that.

Sure, everything can be labeled as an illusion created by the
imagination. What once was magic is now science. The only limits of
what the world can be is our imagination. What is it now in physics,
the electrostatic forces act through the exchange of virtual photons,
that is photons that are not real (check it out)? This is the power
of creativity that we are endowed with. One can be satisfied with the
words or objects, or one can move forward and create much more, like
virtual photons. Once we realize that this is all part of the
creative process, there are no limits! Don't sell yourself short, we
are not victims here of some authoritarian law, far from it, we have
free will.
