Hi Mark and All,

"The Intellectual and the logical is ultimately based on faith." I guess
Metaphysics is faith based? Am I sentient (free will) and not just
logically determined if I ignore logic? Different functions!

You are confusing. I accept the individuality I possess from my Mom and
Dad. Is my individuality faith based?

Evolution and Faith have a past history! I prefer logic for the study of
evolution. Faith is a separate discipline for making decisions beyond the
purview of logic. Is the perception of evolution faith-based?

Consciousness like in decision-making is indefinable and complicated. Are
you proposing that freewill is faith based and not a separate function from
intellectual perception? I accept Faith in an intellectual standoff when a
necessary decision is barred by not resolving contradictions. Faith and
reason are not coextensive. Faith stands apart from reason. Different
origins. Free-will decisions are not faith based by necessity. Logic fits
in there somewhere. I'll eat when I'm hungry, I'll drink when I'm thirsty,
and if whiskey don't kill me I'll live til I die.

Joe
