Horse, I do try to respond, but often the complaints make no sense to me, or come from nowhere. How am I suppose to defend against having my thoughts accused of representing nihilistic relativism or solipsistic subjectivism? Based on what? Dmb's opinion? And when I ask for evidence, I get something like "Anyone can just check the archives." Or my request for precise evidence and explanation is transformed onto "evasion"? While a rhetorical device like stating my "attitude is way too sanctimonious and it's as pretentious as a monkey in a tux." is humorous, it is an ad hominem attack and besides any intellectual point. I might be able to address complaints if they did not contain sideshow theatrics. I have been very diligent in trying to address serious and clear complaints.
I do like you suggestion that discussions be confined to one point at a time, and those points should address ideas and not people. Marsha p.s. Until you state otherwise I will take the 4 posts per day rule to be the case.
