Hi Platt, 

Seems that this "decline in quality" has arises as a product of increased 
personal freedoms, and if you want to engineer society to make it different 
from the one that freely emerges, then you have to do that with social 
controls.  
I dont understand how from a pragmatic standpoint one can criticise "marxist 
morality" and at the same time criticise the degeneracy of emergent "free" 
culture.

Do I misunderstand you?
