Hello, my name is Shauna and I am enrolled in Ms. Nancy Creech's Reading
Comprehension class. I will be student teaching in 2008 and I have found a lot
of information and advice on this listserv that will be helpful to me when I
have my own classroom.
I am wondering what are some of the ways that teachers can encourage students
to look past the literal meaning of text and become engaged in understanding
the deeper meaning. Is there a specific comprehension strategy that supports
the use of imagination?
