Wow, with all the clamor about cherishing diversity in this city, I'm
amazed at how my (lonely?) voice seems downright unwelcome on this list.
There's no need to slam me, folks, I was asking a question.
Now, while doing my best to keep it germane, I must address a couple of
things from Tim and Mr. "Lincoln9" (who's name and location remain a
mystery.)
FIRST
The thread is titled "handguns and carry permits," yet Tim now admits
that his true gripe is with "macho intimidating style" in our fine
city...

(WELL... I DO LIVE IN THE PHILLIPS NEIGHBORHOOD...:-)
I believe that there

Listen, I take the issues of crime and crime prevention very seriously.
I live in a neighborhood that has long been considered "problematic" at
best. Crimminal behavior and questionable police response are a part of
the daily routine here in Phillips. That is why I have inserted myself
into the discussion. I have much to say about these topics, and enjoy
hearing other views.
I asked what I did because, like Tim and what's-his-name, I made some
inferences from the other notes. Rather than respond to an implication
(about which I could have been incorrect,) I asked for clarity of the
sentiments being expressed.
