Ok, the comments below I will bite on.

A picture of you with your mistress is taken and sent to your house and your cover is blown. Yes, farfetched, but that's generally the scenario that the people who worry about privacy violations bring up. Ron responds: So this guys right to privacy gives him the right to break laws? Nathan wrote: They also point out that the ticket will be tied to the vehicle, not the driver, so if another person is driving your car and blows a red light you will get the ticket. You should be able to prove you weren't driving, but that is a hassle. Ron responds: How is this any different than a parking ticket then. I still am left on the hook if my friend is using my car and gets the ticket for a parking violation. Will I hunt him down and give him a piece of my mind, you bet. Nathan wrote: Also, I am sure that with this kind of ticket, the burden will not be on the city to prove your guilt, but on you to prove your innocence. It turns the whole "innocent until proven guilty" foundation of our legal system on its head. This is probably most worrisome. Ron responds: And why would the picture of the car with its plate showing not be enough evidence to give the car the ticket? Nathan wrote: Not that I have a whole lot of fear of photocop, but there are some real questions. Ron responds: Glad to hear Nathan doesn't blow red lights. Thank you for being a good driver. I too have no fear of the photo cop. I say bring it on, its about time. Maybe we could start the program with a year grace and just send out the photos with a little letter saying be careful or next time its a fine. Ron Leurquin Nokomis East REMINDERS: 1.
