directly to Steve: maybe, it will provide much less complains and much more efficiency, if you can release msp430-target for gdbproxy as an closed-source objective binary and an API for accessing it? it will provide people who want to improve gdbproxy with enough resources and, I think, satisfy TI's policy, isn't it?
