I've been on the Pickit2 for four years, no problems at all. Does the pickit 3 also have the logic analyser and the serial data monitor options ? I might consider upgrading for the speed benefits if they have those too.
I actually have 2 Pickit 2's and when I'm writing serial interfacing code I hook one up to the programming pins and the other becomes my terminal program. I have used the logic analyser function to monitor data packets and find faults. These seem to be reliable multiple function devices which do a good job in these other non-programming functions, even if they are not lab quality instruments On Dec 21 2010, 7:01 pm, Adam Jacobs <[email protected]> wrote: > Another vote for the PicKit 3.
