Yes, all good points, Jared.
Colby, if none of the LED meters work, it could be a power supply
issue. Also, have a careful look at the backs of the meter cards and see
if you can spot any burnt up ceramic capacitors (green or brown/tan
discs about the size of a penny). If you see one or more, they are
probably shorting out the 36 volt power supply rail. These must be
removed before you fix the meter supply. BTW, before you go poking
around in the power supply, THERE ARE DANGEROUS, POTENTIALLY DEADLY
VOLTAGES IN THERE. If you don't have any experience with that kind of
work, GET HELP from someone who does.

the case that should have nothing to do with the Aux sends A,B,C,D
that you are referring to. Do you have schemamtics for this console?
Or pictures? a little more infromation would be helpfull. Such as how
many LED meters, and what they are monitoring. Are any of them working
at all? If none are work maybe it is an issue with the power supply.
Which whould beg the question which power supply do you have?

Alright. The board came from an audio/visual dept. from a
university. All the paperwork that came with it claim it is a
neotek series 1 console, though I have seen pictures online that
look different. I got the punchdown tool and hardwired the adc
panel on the back, channels 1-8. The board has a total of 16 ins,
but only 8 subs out. The 8 subs out I have hardwired out, going to
a presonus interface. The meters were working, but stopped. I am
being honest when I say it might have to do with the fact that I
don't understand everything on the board. The manual is kind of
tough to understand, so I am leading myself to believe it has to
do with the A,B,C,D pots/knobs, since I don't really understand
them. The A.B.C.D pots are on each individual channel strip, and
there is also A,B,C,D pots that say foldback and echo. Also, the
other section of the board that doesn't seem to be making sense is
the playback area with push-in buttons like foldback, vu, moniter,
and another I forget. My conclusion is that the LED VU meters are
not working because of the way the ABCD pots and that playback
buttons are configured. Does that sound like I am on the right
direction?? The sound does travel to and from the board. The
center needle meters work. Long story short, the sound is reaching
the board and the signal flow is making it to the presonus. I
need, obviously, to get these led meters working so I can see the
signal strength of each individual channel. Also, are those LED
meters detecting the signal strength coming in or going out of the
board? The reason I ask is because it seemed to start working when
I wired the subs out....I have the subs individually going out to
the presonus, instead of going out from the master. Well Ike, I
hope that is enough. I am not in front of the board, so I hope I
got it right. I am going to get this solved, so if you need more

I the reason that no one responded to this post is that you
haven't really supplied enough information for anybody to take a
stab at it. Please let us know more about your console and the
configuration of your set-up...and the symptoms of the problem.
Like are you getting audio through but just not seeing the meters,
etc.
