Hi Ike,

I do switch often between the modes but this is a good place to look. Also, I might add that not all channels switch at once everytime it happens. Sometimes, it's all of them. Sometimes some...any from 2-20 (my console has 24 channels).

I will not be able to get to it for a few days as we are moving house but will have a look sometime soon.

Hi Casey,
Do you ever switch between the two modes manually? If not, maybe the switch is getting a little dirty. Try "exercising" it by switching back and forth between Peak and VU a bunch of times and see if it settles down. I meant to look at my Elan schematics on Friday when I was at the shop, but I got busy and didn't get to it. If this doesn't help I will try and have a look on Monday.
best,
Ike

Hi list

I have been experiencing some behavior on my Elan which is annoying. It has been swithcing its meters from VU to Peak spontaneously from time to time. It doesn't seem to follow any logic as far as how long it has been on or ambient temps or anything. Anyone ever experienced this with theirs? What could I look at to rememdy the problem?

Thanks for any help you might provide.

Casey
