Well, this is a bit bizarre. I have the 75dpi fonts installed, but I took them out of my XFree86Config, so I can't access them with xfontsel. /etc/X11/xdm/Xresources calls for them: "xlogin*font: -adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--18-180-75-75-p-103-iso8859-1" just like yours, and xdm works fine for me without them. So I guess it uses a "close-enough" match, so your lack of a perfect match should not be a problem. Your log file says "Warning: Cannot convert..." so maybe that's not a showstopper. Your log also says Log file: "/var/log/XFree86.0.log". I take it that the file you posted is /var/log/xdm-errors? What does XFree86.0.log say? -- Remember, more computing power was thrown away last week than existed in the world in 1982. -- http://www.tom.womack.net/computing/prices.html _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
